The third annual jobs fair organised by Northampton North MP Michael Ellis will be held at The Guildhall in Northampton on Friday, September 12.
The free event will run from 10am to 4pm and 40 businesses will be attending including Barclaycard, Nationwide, St Andrew’s Healthcare, Church’s Shoes, Waitrose, the Army, Coca-Cola, The Prince’s Trust, Royal Mail and Greencore Group.
The event, which is supported by Job Centre Plus, also includes CV writing and interview tips workshops,
More than 2,000 people attended the event last year and Mr Ellis said he hoped for a similar turnout again.
He said: “We have got the venue used to full capacity. Dozens of people last year got jobs from the job’s fair.
“This is a major event for people looking for jobs in the town and is completely free to attend.
“I always try and get a good mix between local employers and large recognisable companies who are looking to hire people as the economy continues to improve. Alongside these businesses I have invited several charities, and also groups who specialise in training and improving skills.”
