A Northampton family and their friends, who were named as the world’s first Walt Disney World Family, have returned from a trip of a lifetime to Florida.
The Frith family, who were the winners of a nationwide search, enjoyed a three-week VIP stay at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando last month.
The winning family could be made up of a number of different people, so the Friths also included their family friends and partners.
The full list of winners were Paul Frith, wife Anita, and their children, Jade and James, of Westone Avenue, Westone, Northampton; family friends Richard Parris, his wife Karen and their children, Leah and Lana, of Burford Way, Wellingborough; plus James’s girlfriend, Ashleigh Sewell, aged 18, and Jade’s partner, Alice Bailey.
Jade said: “We have all had such an incredibly magical time and have made memories which will last a lifetime. There was never a dull moment and even after three weeks, there are still so many things that we can’t wait to go back and do again.
“It was three weeks in our favourite place on earth, surrounded by our friends and family and the Florida sunshine, a real dream trip.”
Their trip included a stay at The Castle Suite in Cinderella’s Castle, part of the resort where guests cannot usual pay to stay. Very few people, including the likes of Tom Cruise, have been lucky enough to experience it.
The family will now appear in the official Walt Disney World Parks brochure.
