Northampton College’s exclusive milkshake got off to a flying start at it’s launch event.

Daventry cafe The Hideout handed out 56 ‘Shake NC’s to customers to celebrate it’s new partnership with the college and raise awareness of the open event, whcih takes place at its Badby Road West site next month.

The new milkshake, which was served in new jointly branded cups and made from ingredients based on the college’s blue and yellow corporate colours, was met with positive feedback.

Ron Fox, deputy mayor of Daventry, said: “I think ‘Shake NC’ is a great idea to raise awareness and promote Northampton College in Daventry.”

The ‘Shake NC’, is made with banana ice-cream, mango bubbles and blue-raspberry or bubble gum sauce.

Phoebe Newlove, 15, also a pupil at The Parker Academy said, “I am thinking about going to college after school and something like the milkshake reminds me that Northampton College has a site in Daventry and that that might be an option to think about. I didn’t know about the Open Event until today either so ‘Shake NC’ has done its job.”
