A number of roadworks will be carried out in the Northamptonshire area this month.

Bridge work will be carried out on the M1 junction 15 for Northampton until Wednesday this week (August 6) when the southbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm to 6am.

There will also be laybys closures around the clock and 50mph speed restrictions. Diversions are in place.

The northbound entry slip road on the M1 junction 15a will be closed from 9pm on August 10 to 6am on August 11 for electrical work. Diversions will be signposted.

There will be long term roadworks on the M1 between junction 18 and 16 for central reservation work.

The work will begin today (Monday) and is expected to run until June 2 2015 during which time there will be carriageway, lane or hard shoulder closures in place on both carriageways.

These will be from 8pm to 6am each night. As work progresses there will be narrow lanes in place around the clock.

Major improvement work is continuing at Catthorpe Interchange on the M1 at junction 19 until autumn 2016.

Various hard shoulder, lane or carriageway closures will be in place while the new junction is built.
