A Holcot man had to be airlifted to hospital after his attempts to repair his van went wrong.
The 54-year-old was underneath his van working on the vehicle just before 9am today when the brakes failed causing it to run over his legs.
Both the ambulance and air ambulance were called to the scene.
A spokesman for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance said: “On arrival, the patient was in a significant amount of pain having sustained an open leg fracture.
“He was given advanced pain relief by the air ambulance paramedics before having his leg splinted.
“He was then flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further assessment. His condition on the way to hospital was stable.”
