Man killed himself at Salcey Forest

A man who killed himself after an argument with his wife rang police to tell them of his intention so they could send someone to clear the scene.

An inquest at Northampton General Hospital yesterday heard Roy Ure, aged 45, of Melchester Close, Hardingstone, rang the police from a car park at Salcey Forest in the early hours of September 21, 2008.

He told them he would be dead by the time they arrived.

Coroner Anne Pember recorded a verdict of suicide.
