Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher will be in Northampton in March for a charity dinner hosted by Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling.
The charity dinner, being held at the County Ground, Wantage Road, will include a speech by the former England footballer who will talk about his career.
The 36-year-old, who retired last year and now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, won two FA Cups, three League Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and was part of the team that won the Champions League final in May 2005 in Istanbul.
Guests at the event, being held on March 27, will enjoy dinner with entertainment, followed by Jamie and Jeff Stelling, as well as a charity auction in aid of Niamh’s Next Step, the Northamptonshire founded by Chris Curry in memory of his daughter, who died from neuroblastoma last year aged five-years-old.
Mr Curry said: “Niamh’s Next Step are very proud to be the chosen charity to benefit from the raffle and auction at Jamie Carragher’s Retirement Dinner.
“We are so grateful for the fantastic awareness raised and every penny will go towards the fight against childhood cancer.”
Tables of 10 available at the event and cost £1,000 plus VAT. This includes a three-course meal and four bottles of wine or 10 bottles of premium lager per table.
