Lit firework pushed through house letterbox
A man had to kick a burning firework out of his home after it was pushed through the letterbox of his Northampton property.
The incident happened at the house in Arnold Road, Northampton, on Saturday at around 4.40pm.
"Luckily the homeowner was in the property at the time of the incident and managed to kick the firework out of the door," said a police spokesman.
"They can think of no reason as to why the firework would have been put through their letterbox."
Earlier in the afternoon, between 3.50pm and 4.30pm, a group of young people were heard to be setting off fireworks in or near to the multi-use games at the bottom of Semilong Road, Northampton.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents or have information regarding them.
Call 08453 700 700 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
