Stormy weather saw Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue called out to several lightning strike incidents in the county yesterday (Thursday).
The service were first called when a bolt hit the roof of a house in the Spring Park area at 2.30pm.
It caused damage to the building, but the fire was out when crews arrived.
At 4pm, a home on Gisburne Road, Wellingborough, was left severely damaged by fire, shortly after it was struck by lightning.
Two firefighters tackled the blaze there using breathing apparatus.
There was also a house aerial struck in festival Close Irthlingborough, shortly before 3pm and incidents of flooding in Finedon and Wollaston.
The rainy weather is set to continue over the bank holiday in Northamptonshire.
