House prices in Northampton increase by nine percent compared to last year

House prices in Northampton have risen by nine percent in the last three months compared to the same time last year, according to the latest figures.

The report, produced by Nationwide Building Society, says the average house price in the town is now £191,063. This is up 12 percent over the last 10 years and six percent up on the last quarter.

The study looked at house prices in the three months up to June.

Across the county, the average house price was £187,052, which was up 11 percent year on year and 10 percent up on the last quarter. House prices were up 11 percent on the same time 10 years ago.
