The lead detective in the Tim Keam murder investigation has said his thoughts are with his family.
Kristian Kopco (pictured), age 21, of Adnitt Road, Northampton, was today detained indefinitely under the mental health act at Northampton Crown Court, after being found to have killed Timothy Keam.
Mr Keam, aged 48, also from the same flat in Adnitt Road, Northampton, was discovered dead in his house by police on April 3 2013, having sustained significant head injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Behan, who led the investigation, said: “It is right that justice has been served following the murder of Mr Keam.
“While cases like this are thankfully very rare, the outcome today shows that those who commit crime will be dealt with appropriately through the criminal justice system.
“This has been an extremely tragic case and my thoughts are with Mr Keam’s family and friends during what has been a very difficult time.”
