The final two walls of the former Chronicle & Echo building in Northampton have been demolished.
The building in Upper Mounts, which first opened in 1978, is being knocked down to make way for a new discount supermarket.
Demolition work began about two months ago after planning permission was granted by Northampton Borough Council for the work to go ahead.
A planning application has not yet been put forward by Aldi for the supermarket development. The retailer is going out to public consultation later this year when more detailed plans will be revealed.
