Further road closure in Northampton tonight for Wootton Hall Park roadworks
A further overnight closure is needed tonight in Mereway as construction work continues at the junction of Wootton Hall Park.
Northamptonshire County Council said “unexpected heavy rain” last night delayed the road marking work that had been scheduled as part of the ongoing work on a new ‘signalised gyratory’.
It means that from 8pm today there will be a full closure of Mereway between the Queen Eleanor roundabout and the Towcester Road junction until 5am tomorrow (Tuesday) so work can take place.
Currently one lane westbound is closed from Queen Eleanor roundabout to Tesco for safety reasons, the council says, as there is not adequate line marking.
