A team of charity fundraisers have walked more than 70 miles from Birmingham to Northampton.
The group of about 20, which included staff from the Weston Favell Centre, the Samaritans and the charity Thomas’s Fund, walked along the route of the Grand Union Canal between the two towns.
After setting off on Thursday, they arrived back at the Weston Favell Centre on Saturday afternoon.
The manager of the Weston Favell Centre, Kevin Legg, who took part in the walk, said: “We made it to Warwick on the first day, then on to Daventry for the second and then back into Northampton.
“It went extremely well and the walkers did superbly. A few suffered along the way, but we pulled them through it.
“And it was all for a couple of great causes. We hope to have raised about £2,000 and I don’t think we’ll be far off that, in fact we should actually pass it.”
