The first phase of a 2,000-home estate in Northampton could be given council approval at a committee meeting tonight.
Developers Barratt Developments PLC will be seeking the borough councillors’ approval to begin the first phase of the development - including 2,000 homes - set to be located between Moutlon and Overstone.
As well at the homes, the Northampton North Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE) Overstone Leys development will include the construction of shops, a pub, a school, a nursery, a care home, and extensive open public space.
The proposal will also see a new section of dual carriageway on the A43 between Round Spinney roundabout and Overstone Road.
There are currently no council or public representations scheduled for the meeting, which will take place at Northampton Guildhall at 6pm tonight.
