Ex-Cobbler found guilty of indecent exposure
Former Northampton Town defender Daniel May has been found guilty of indecent exposure.
May, 20, who played for Cobblers in 2007-08 before being released at the end of that season, was seen walking down the road with his genitalia lifted up over his tracksuit bottoms.
He walked past a woman, who, from a distance, mistook his obscene actions for a cuddly toy tucked in his trousers, St Albans Crown Court was told.
The jury took just over an hour to find May guilty of deliberately indecently exposing himself intending to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The court was told that May, who played his last game for Cobblers against Leeds in January 2008, denied deliberately exposing himself.
He was released on bail for sentencing next month.
