An eight-year old girl has been taken to hospital after falling whilst playing in Brixworth.

She suffered a suspected broken ankle in the fall, which happened yesterday morning (Thursday).

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out to provide advanced critical care.

A spokesman for WNAA said: “The crew landed near to the scene at around 12.21pm. The patient was given advanced pain relief and her ankle was splinted.

“She was then handed over to a land ambulance crew who transported her to Northampton General Hospital for further treatment.”
