Driver to face trial over £230,000 laptop theft
A Nigerian lorry driver accused of stealing £250,000 worth of laptop computers from an industrial estate in Northampton will face a jury trial next month.
Raymond Oyanoghafo, 38, from Muchengladbach, Germany, denied being part of a gang who stole 350 Acer computers from TNT International that were intended for Brackmills.
He told police he had been asleep in his lorry when the laptops were stolen in the early hours of September 23.
Oyanoghafo yesterday travelled from his home in Germany to attend Northampton Magistrates' Court for a committal hearing.
Magistrates then bailed him to appear at Northampton Crown Court in December.
