Decision delayed
A DECISION to spend £200,000 a year as part of a £1.3m promotion of a town has been delayed while marketing experts are consulted.
At a meeting of Wellingborough Council’s resources committee last night it was agreed 30,000 would be spent on marketing consultants while discussions with the company behind the regeneration of Corby – North Northants Development Company – took place to see if it was willing to contribute a further 30,000.
Castle ward councillor Paul Crofts said: “All this does is delay making the decision.
“The council cannot play a subsidiary role to others such as developers.”
