David Bellamy in Space for Earth
Celebrity botanist and conservationist David Bellamy visited a Northamptonshire map company as it prepares to unveil the world's biggest atlas.
Mr Bellamy visited Space in Brackley yesterday, where town company Global Mapping were showcasing Earth.
The 2,000 atlas has 580 pages, is hand-bound in leather with gilded edges and silver-plated corners, and weighs more than 66lbs.
In the foreword to Earth, Mr Bellamy said: "Read it with care and then, in the knowledge that Earth is the only home our children and grandchildren are going to inherit, I beg you to treat it with the care it deserves."
Only 3,000 copies of Earth have been produced.
