Construction at a site in Bugbrooke has been halted for 28 days after it was deemed “the worst site seen in 10 years” for driving mud on to roads.

Persimmon Homes, the developers of the site, off Johns Road, were given a Temporary Stop Notice (TSN) by South Northamptonshire Council after Bugbrooke Parish Council put forward complaints from residents.

But the parish claim they were slow to react to the complaint, made when mud began accumulating on Johns Road and the footpath after building work started in November.
