The iconic Coca Cola Christmas lorry is due to roll into Northampton today.
The star of the soft drinks company’s annual Christmas advert is currently undertaking a tour of the country.
It is due to visit Abington Street between 1pm and 9pm today (Thursday).
During the visit, Christmas shoppers will be able to have their photographs taken with the truck and grab a free can of Coke.
Coca Cola also promises that Abington Street will be ‘transformed into a snowy winter wonderland’ during the visit, with a choir singing carols and elves serving chilled drinks.
The Coca Cola Christmas lorries first appeared on television in 1995 as part of the company’s Holidays are Coming advert.
The advert has been regularly screened in the build-up to Christmas since then.
Northampton is only one of 52 stops which the lorry is making in the build-up to Christmas this year.
Already, thousands of people have queued up to have their pictures taken with the lorry at its other stops across the country.
During one stop in London, Coke fan Andy Walker, aged 35, proposed to his girlfriend, 28-year-old Laura Daggianti.
The couple from Royston, who met on the internet three years ago, plan to get married in May, 2015.
Andy, who works in radio advertising, described the proposal as “absolutely perfect”.
