Dozens of celebrities including football pundit Robbie Savage, popstar Lee Ryan from Blue and cricketer Michael Vaughan will compete in an inaugural fund-raising football match at Sixfields on Sunday.

The William Hill Foundation Cup will see stars from soap, sport and showbiz battle it out for supremacy all in the aid of charity.

William Hill’s charity ambassador, Robbie Savage will go head-to-head with his former Leicester teammate and Sellebrity founder, Darren Eadie.

The former Birmingham City and Blackburn star said: “We’re hoping to raise £50,000 for Project Africa through the William Hill Foundation Cup.

“Having recently visited the Island School in Kenya to help with a new classroom build, I can’t express how much they need our help.

“Fans attending the match will be in for a real treat, I just hope there’s no foul play between players.”

William Hill is offering odds for the game which include 6/4 for Robbie Savage to score, 10/1 for any SoccerAM player to hit the crossbar and 50/1 for Robbie Savage to be sent off.

Other players who will take to the field on Sunday include TOWIE stars Mario Falcone and Little Chris, Matt Lapinskas, who plays Anthony Moon in Eastenders, TV Presenter Vernon Kay and Harry Judd from McFly.

The former Welsh player will captain the William Hill Foundation 11.

The opposition will be captained by Antony Costa from Blue.

Northampton Town spokesman Gareth Willsher said: “We’re delighted to be bringing so many famous faces to Sixfields. I’d encourage people to join in the Christmas spirit, come along, enjoy the day and help raise some money for charity at the same time.”

Tickets are available from sellebrity.org.uk/sellebrity-soccer and cost £10 for adults and £5 for children in advance or £12 and £7 respectively on match day.

Kick off is at 3pm on Sunday, December 9.
