Busy road opens again after being closed by crash
Police advised motorists to avoid a busy Northamptonshire dual-carriageway this afternoon after it was closed following an accident.
The A14 westbound between junctions eight and nine near Kettering was shut following a two-vehicle collision.
The collision took place at around 1.10pm and police, the fire service and ambulance service were in attendence.
The road was closed to allow them to complete their work.
Local diversions were put in place but officers urged people to avoid the area before it was re-opened later in the afternoon.
