BREAKING NEWS: Motorist hit and killed on Northamptonshire road after getting out of vehicle
A MAN has died after being hit by a car on the A45 Daventry by-pass.
At 6.15am this morning a 46-year-old man from Rugby was hit by a blue Renault Laguna estate car which was travelling from the direction of Northampton after getting out of his parked car.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “The collision happened on the A45 Daventry by-pass at Stefen Way, close to the junction with the A361.
“The A45 has been closed between the Landmark Hotel and A425 junctions to allow a scene investigation to take place.”

He is the ninth man to have been killed on Northamptonshire’s roads this year.
