BREAKING NEWS: Motorist dies after crash on Northamptonshire road
A man has died after the car he was driving collided with another vehicle.
The incident happened on the A6 bypass between Rothwell and Desborough at 10.15pm last night.
Kamrul Hassan, aged 28, from Wellingborough, died after the Ford Focus he was driving collided with a VW Bora.
A police spokesman said: “The Ford Focus, appears to have crossed into the opposite carriageway and into the path of the VW Bora, resulting in the collision.
“The male driver of the Ford Focus sadly died at the scene.”
The 45-year-old female driver of the VW Bora was air lifted to Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, with serious injuries.
Police are keen to speak with the driver of a white car, possibly of Japanese make, which is believed to have been in the area at the time of.
Mr Hassan is the 11th person to be killed on Northamptonshire’s roads this years.
