The Drapery and Sheep Street have reopened fully following a four-vehicle collision in the town centre, which involved two buses.
Police reported that the vehicles, two buses, a van and a Bounds taxi, were involved in a coming together shortly after 3pm at the top of the Drapery.
One of the buses involved in the collision has been confirmed as the Stagecoach number 12 bus.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the taxi involved in the collision to free a person from the car. An officer at the scene said the male driver was not thought to be seriously injured.
As a result of the crash, the Drapery and Sheep Street were closed for more than an hour while recovery of the taxi, a metallic light blue Toyota Prius, took place.
The road was fully reopened before 5pm.
