A 10-year old boy was airlifted to hospital with a broken leg after falling off his BMX bike at high speed in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire.
The boy was treated by an off-duty paramedic, who was first on the scene, shortly after 1.30pm on Sunday.
The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out at 1.50pm and landed at the scene at 2.05pm.
The charity said the boy was in a significant amount of pain and needed advanced pain relief, which was given by the WNAA doctor. His fracture was splinted before he was flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment.
