Boxer Bruno heading for casino fundraising event in Northampton
Boxing legend Frank Bruno will be the knockout special guest at a spectacular charity casino night in Northampton next week.
The former WBC World Heavyweight Champion will sign autographs and answer questions at the Diamond On Fire Casino Night, on April 23 at Aspers in Commercial Street.
Mr Bruno said: "All profits from the evening go to Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, which is a vital service that saves lives. I am very happy to come along to this event and support this extremely good cause."
The party will include a champagne reception, buffet, comedian, singer and games demonstrations.
There will also be a charity auction, with prizes including a holiday, a balloon flight and a signed Northampton Saints rugby shirt.
Another highlight will be a draw to win a diamond retailing at 7,000, which has been donated by Steffan's Jewellers of Abington Square.
Tracy Grunwell, WNAA's fundraising manager, said: "We are absolutely delighted Frank Bruno is coming along to this special night.
"We are very grateful that he is supporting us in this way and hope that lots of people will come along to see such a great sports personality."
The air ambulance provides an emergency medical service for Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Milton Keynes.
