The air ambulance was called to Long Buckby this afternoon (Wednesday) after a man was hit by a bus.

The 999 call was made at just after 2.30pm after the collision on Station Road, between the railway station itself and Watson Road in the village.

Police say the man is believed to have suffered head and leg injuries that are described as ‘not life threatening’.

Paramedics arrived on the scene at 2.38pm, and the air ambulance was also called out to take the man to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire in Coventry.

Station Road remains closed while investigations continue.
