Jury discharged in attempted rape case at Northampton Crown Court

A jury has been discharged in a case of a Northampton man who is accused of attempting to rape a young woman in a Northampton park.

A trial started at Northampton Crown Court on Monday, December 7, in the case of Warren Clark, aged 19, who is charged with attempted rape and sexual assault.

Today (Monday, December 14), the jury were called in to court and told they were discharged from delivering a verdict in the case.

Judge Lynn Tayton has adjourned the case for a retrial, which is likely to take place early next year.
