'˜Irate and aggressive' man made offensive comments on Northampton bus

People who saw a man making offensive homophobic comments in an aggressive outburst on a Northampton bus are being urged to come forward.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the incident happened on the number 2 bus service from Abington Square to Rectory Farm.

“During the journey a man became irate and aggressive. This included making offensive, homophobic comments in a loud voice,” he said.

“The driver stopped at Lumbertubs and asked the offender to leave the bus, which he did.”

Officers would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident, which happened at about 7pm on Friday, October 21. Details were released today, December 2, by the police. They would also like to hear from anyone who would like to make a complaint about the suspect’s behaviour. Police described him as a white man in his thirties and was wearing a red hoody and jeans.
