An inquest into the death of India Chipchase will be opened in Kettering tomorrow morning (Thursday).

The 20-year-old’s body was found at an address in Stanley Road, St James, Northampton, on January 31.

In a statement, a spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the initial cause of death had been given as pressure on the neck, pending toxicology and histology results.

The inquest will be opened at Kettering Magistrates’ Court at 10.45am on Thursday.

Hundreds of tribute messages to India, who lived in East Hunsbury, were left on social media since the news of her death.

Dozens of bunches of flowers were also been left outside The Collingtree pub in memory of India, who worked as a barmaid.

Work colleagues said their hearts were “broken” and described India as a “little smile machine” who will be greatly missed by all.
