Hit and run driver jailed for two years after seriously injuring paramedic at Northampton petrol station

A Northampton man, who broke a paramedic’s leg in several places by dangerous driving near a petrol station in Kingsthorpe, has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Alexsandrs Saraborkins, of Great Meadow, Blackthorn, appeared at Northampton Crown Court for sentencing and was found guilty on five charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Michael Ryan, the paramedic injured in the incident at the BP Garage in Harborough Road, had to have surgery to pin his leg after suffering multiple fractures.

The incident took place sometime between 2am and 2.30am on Sunday, April 14.
