A Great Britsh Bake-Off contestant helped launch a newly-merged and expanded Northampton-based company.

Ben Frazer cooked up some unique cupcakes for the official launch event, marking the merger two Northamptonshire firms, In-essence Employment Law and Gravitas HR Solutions, to form Gravitas HR Solutions. The new firm has opened an office in Basset Court, Grange Park.

The newly merged business is led by Directors Dawn Exley, Karen Teago and Mark Exley who between them have over 50 years of HR, employment law and reward management experience.

Karen, who formerly spent 10 years practising employment law in private legal practice, said: “By combining complementary skills we can be flexible and adaptable to suit the HR requirements of different businesses, large and small.”

Dawn, an experienced HR professional, added: “We are an even stronger business having joined forces and are delighted to be investing in Northampton, and growing our business from the heart of the UK.”

Mark, the reward specialist, said: “We are delighted to have started the New Year in our new offices in Grange Park. Our new home is the ideal base for us with excellent transport links and access to likeminded businesses. We are looking forward to seeing what 2014 holds for us as we grow our business.”

The launch event was held at The Campanile Hotel in Grange Park.
