Former music store in Northampton town centre could be converted to cafe and takeaway

An empty musical instrument store in Northampton will be converted to a restaurant, cafe and takeaway if new plans go ahead.

The proposals have been submitted for the former St Giles Music store in St Giles Terrace.

The owners have moved to new premises in the same street but Northampton Borough Council has received an application from Hilary and Robert Poole.

It is understood that they wish to sell alcohol during the days and may even submitted plans for a roof terrace.

No date has yet been set to hear the application, but it will be decided by a panel of councillors at the Guildhall.
