Firefighters have been called out to rescue a horse in a Northampton field.

The call was received just after 1pm on Friday and five fire engines were called to the scene near Bedford Road.

It is not yet known how the horse got into difficulty.

Chron reader Steve Corcoran sent us this picture of the rescue scene.

The call came about an hour after firefighters were called to rescue a child who had got their foot stuck in a lift in Northampton.
