Firefighters were called to house in Northampton where the chimney had partially collapsed.

The crew were called after debris had fallen from the roof of a house in Kingsley Park Terrace at about 6.30pm yesterday.

A double-breasted chimney with eight pots had partially collapsed and the firefighters decided there was danger to anyone below.

They cordoned off the house while emergency services controlled traffic in the street to keep it safely away from the scene.

An aerial platform from Moulton was then used by the fire crew to remove loose debris from the roof.

The house was made safe by 7.30pm.
