Schools in Northamptonshire close after water alert

A number of primary schools in Northamptonshire stayed closed on Thursday because of the cryptosporidium outbreak in tapwater.

The schools, which are throughout the Northampton and Daventry areas, have said they 'cannot guarantee adequate drinking supplies for pupils' because of polluted water.
