Martin King's Sports Betting: Can anyone stop United?

After claiming glory in Moscow, Manchester United are 5/1 favourites with William Hill to win next season's Champions League.

United landed their third European Cup in dramatic style after beating Chelsea in a penalty shootout on Wednesday night.

The result was harsh on Chelsea, but sealed an amazing season for Sir Alex Ferguson. And if the United legend remains at the helm, who is going to stop them doing it again next season?

Betfred are offering 10/1 on a repeat Premier League and Champions League double next year, which is a tempting price.

Chelsea are likely to be the only team to rival them in the league

again next season and with the continuing domination of English clubs in Europe, the price is worth some interest.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power took a bit of a beating after pledging to refund losing bets if Cristiano Ronaldo scored in normal time.

The winger's first-half header sparked a 1.2m payout...nice to see the punters win for a change!

City good value for Wembley

FOOTBALL: Bristol City are good value at 11/5 (Centrebet) to beat Hull City in tomorrow's Coca-Cola Championship play-off final.

Bookmakers are heavily basing their prices on the semi-final matches, where Hull tonked Watford 6-1. But that scoreline wasn't a

true reflection on how the two legs and

I'd steer clear of the 4/6 on offer for a Hull victory.

Hamilton looks set for triumph

FORMULA ONE: McLaren's Lewis Hamilton can fulfill a long-held ambition and win this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

The Monaco Grand Prix last year marked the point at which relations between Fernando Alonso and the McLaren team began an irreversible decline.

Alonso beat his then team-mate Hamilton to pole position for the showpiece race after Hamilton was balked by Mark Webber for a portion of his crucial qualifying lap.

The Spaniard was also held up on his flyer but Hamilton would have easily gained pole had both managed clear runs – despite his McLaren being fuelled heavier than Alonso's number one machine.

It's the perfect stage for the Briton to throw down the gauntlet to Ferrari and close the seven-point gap to the Finn in the drivers' standings and Sportingbet's 13/5 offer will attract plenty of punters.

Leeds to win at Wembley

FOOTBALL: Leeds are 4/7 favourites with William Hill to win the League One play-offs.

The Whites had been as big as 4/1 for promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship after they lost their semi-final first-leg match against Carlisle.

Opponents Doncaster are generally around 9/4 to edge out Leeds and win promotion to the second tier.

England should dominate

CRICKET: England look good bets to win the second Test against New Zealand, which starts today. They bossed much of the opening game

and the team have an impressive record at Old

Trafford.

Northants' own Monty Panesar also looks worth a shout at 10/1 to win the man-of-the-match award after bowling well at Lord's.
