Loose Ends Part One

The winners of Film Northants 2008 return with a special effects-laden gangster thriller.

The film explores issues of trust within a group of crooks who live a life of theft, betrayal and torture.

The temptation of power and money becomes all too strong for one member and overcomes any sense of loyalty to his gang.

Special effects have been added in post production in a tense shot out scene.

The film was directed by Dean Twaites and stars Nick Stoppani, Darryl Lane, Barry Smith, Jimmy Bricknell and Neil Philips.

Dean, who is a film student at The University of Northampton, said he wanted to make something very different from his winning horror flick last year.

He said: "We are learning new skills with film-making all the time and for this film we wanted to apply special effects to make the film more realistic and exiciting.

"All the blood splatters, stains and gun shots were done in post production."
