Can you use your dishwasher?
The most pressing question about the illnees causing bug which has been flooding the Anglian Water support units is … can I use the dishwasher?
Although the bug can cause acute diarrhoea if in water which is drunk and could kill in very extreme cases, it seems.most people are more worried about secondary effects.
Sara Rowland of Anglian Water said: "We've had hundreds of people turn up at our customer support units in Daventry and Northampton.
"Number one question has been can I use the dishwasher and the answer is yes, put it on a hot wash."
On Friday, the units had 570 customers visit and 360 more on Saturday.
The second most asked question has been about hand-washing dishes.
Anglian Water have advised people to wash the dishes as normal then douse them with boiling water as they stand on the washboard.
