Andrei Arshavin: I want to go to Man Utd or Chelsea in Premier League
Former Tottenham target Andrei Arshavin has his heart set on joining Manchester United or Chelsea if he moves to the Premier League.
The playmaker, who almost signed for Spurs in the summer but before Zenit St Petersburg raised the asking price for Russia's Euro 2008 star.
Zenit now says Arshavin, 27, is free to leave in the January transfer window.
Arshavin said: "I still have a desire to play abroad and I'd like to play either in Spain or England.
"Barcelona are my favourite team and in England there is Manchester United and Chelsea."
Zenit general manager Maxim Mitrofanov confirmed: "We gave Arshavin permission to negotiate directly with other clubs.
"Usually a player who has a running contract with a team isn't allowed to do it. But Zenit are prepared to consider any offers for Arshavin."
Zenit manager Dick Advocaat recently advised Arshavin not to go to Tottenham, saying: "It would be better for him to stay in St Petersburg than to go there."
