Emergency services rushed to a logistics company in Rushden after it was feared people were trapped under a mezzanine flooring that had collapsed.

Police were called to DHL Express in Spire Road at 10.30am yesterday morning (Monday), with fire crews and the ambulance service also attending.

It was initially thought people were trapped under the collapsed flooring.

But it later emerged that everybody had managed to get out of the building, with no injuries reported.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Nobody was injured but the incident has now been referred to the health and safety executive.”
