Elderly man attacked in his own home during Northampton burglary

An elderly man was attacked in his Northampton home by two burglars who broke in and stole cash.

The pensioner was at his home in Barrack Road, when the burglars broke in sometime between 7.45pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, September 20.

Once inside, they assaulted the pensioner and stole cash.

Fortunately, the elderly man was able to escape from the house and get help.

The two men were both white. The first was in his 40s, had an English accent and a large build.

The second man was in his 30s or 40s and had a medium build.

Witnesses, or anyone who knows anything about this incident, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
