Students at The Duston School have achieved “exceptional grades” in a number of GCSE subjects.

Maureen Raine, headteacher, said the results “reflected the hard work and dedication of all students and staff.”

Top students this included Kamil Hepak, with seven A*s and seven As. Caitlin Pawaroo seven A*s and five As. Nicola Daly four A*s and three As and Abigail Passmore three A*s and seven As.

A spokesman for the school said the number of students achieving top grades has “significantly increased in all subjects.”

The figure for the number of students achieving the Government benchmark of five A* to C grades, including English and maths, has not been provided by the school.
