The Duston School was open bright and early today to hand out GCSE results to students, including some who took their exams aged just 14.

Early reports suggest the “outstanding” rated school improved in a number of key performance table indicators including the results of “disadvantaged” students.

Individual mentions go to Courtney Reeves who gained 10 A* grades and two As. Louise Clarke and Amy Demidow also achieved 10 A* and A grades.

Executive Principal, Jane Herriman, said: “We are delighted that these results will now be supporting our students as they move into Post 16 or further education. “Although the recent changes in educational policy have offered a challenge, we have embraced this and I am really looking forward to the new school year in order to further embed our outstanding practice.”
