A Northampton General Hospital nurse who spent more than two decades caring for children in the hospital’s Disney Ward has retired.
Jackie Fuller, 55, from Moulton, joined the ward 22 years ago after spending a few years prior to that working at Manfield Hospital.
Her last day was on July 16 and she held a small ta party for colleagues.
Jackie said: “I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was young so my career was a dream come true.
“I have always loved mixing with lots of different people and working with a really supportive team of nurses.”
Jackie said her hobbies outside nursing include being a local brownie leader, spending weekends in her home in Norfolk and theatre trips.
She added: “Now I’m retired I’m planning to spend more time with my family.
“We also have a holiday home in Norfolk and will probably be spending quite a lot of time there.”
