A drunken reveller who kicked and punched a woman, spat at a police officer and then bit another officer, had to be restrained with pava spray, a court heard.
Kelsie Wood admitted “going crazy” in the incident outside the Roadmender in Lady’s Lane, Northampton, on July 28, which has left her with a court bill of £805.
Wood, aged 23, of Booth Meadow Court, Thorplands, Northampton, admitted charges of assault, assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer at Northampton Magistrates Court.
Stella Moses, prosecuting, told the court that, following an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, she got into a disagreement with a woman.
Wood punched the victim and kicked her.
Then, when two police officers got involved, she targeted them too.
She said: “The female was swearing at the officers, and she spat at one and bit the other.”
Ben Brown, mitigating, said Wood’s behaviour could have been caused by a bottle of water she was drinking being spiked with MDMA.
He said: “It was an evening of madness. She is desperately remorseful and is disgusted with herself.”
Wood was fined £600, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge. She must also pay £50 compensation to the assault victim and the officer she bit.
