Two men arrested and members of the public injured following ram-raid at Northamptonshire shop

Robbers used a car to ram-raid the Co-op in Brackley this morning during which two members of the public were injured.

Two men have been arrested following a robbery at the Co-operative food store in High Street, Brackley.

The robbery happened at about 2am this morning (Wednesday) when the offenders used a vehicle to break in the shop.

Members of the public intervened and police were called.

A 31-year-old man and a 27-year old man were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

Two members of the public were also injured during the incident.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Local police officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area today and anyone with any information or concerns is encouraged to speak with them.”
